Dante Fowler Jr. must really be regretting this.
On Tuesday, footage surfaced of the Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end refereeing a full-on girl fight between what appears to be his baby momma and current lady love.
The violent video — caught on camera earlier this month — shows the two woman grabbing hair, punching, kicking, and throwing each other into the wall and on the ground.
Now that the clip has gone public, the sports star is breaking his silence about the awful images. The 21-year-old issued a statement about the controversial clip, saying:
“I am embarrassed and have apologized for my actions to everyone involved. As a family, we have been dealing with this moment and the conflict that led to it since this occurred. The video surfacing is a sad reminder that emotions got the best of all of us. I take 100 percent responsibility for everything that happened.”
His team also opened up about the incident, sharing their response on Twitter. The Jaguars wrote:
“Dante brought the incident to our attention prior to the video being released and was embarrassed and remorseful. Violence of this type against others is unacceptable in our society and to our organization. We will continue to look into the incident while offering resources and providing support to Dante and his family to help them through this private matter.”

In light of this shocking situation, the NFL is also looking into the events surrounding the upsetting video. The League’s Vice President of Communications, Brian McCarthy, said:
“These are disturbing images and we will review the matter.”
