See Who Made The Montage & Who Got Snubbed During The 2016 Oscars In Memoriam Segment — Plus Dave Grohl’s Beautiful Performance

While the Oscars were filled with hilarious jokes and goofy skits, the ceremony got serious when it came time to remember the stars we lost over the past year.

During the In Memoriam segment, the Academy celebrated the lives of filmmakers, actors, and other notable names in Hollywood who passed away since the 2015 awards show.

The montage remembered stars like David Bowie, Alan Rickman, and Leonard Nimoy, while Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl sang a beautiful rendition of Paul McCartney‘s Blackbird.

Unfortunately, it appears as though The Godfather alum Abe Vigoda and Rocky actor Tony Burton were both left out of the segment.
