The seventh grader may have just proved the quarterback’s innocence with a science project!
Ben, who is in no way related to the league’s commissioner Roger Goodell, did a science project at St. Pius V School in Lynn, Massachusetts on how weather effects the PSI of an NFL football.
Goodell, who was not a fan of the league’s ruling against Brady and “didn’t think it was fair” took an official NFL ball and put it through several weather conditions for a couple of hours.
The 12-year-old explained:
“I put it in humidity, cold, snow, wind chill and the same temperature that occurred during DeflateGate.”
After taking pressure readings, the young man found:
“Every single time I did this test the PSI dropped at least 2 PSI. That means it was scientifically proven that Tom Brady didn’t deflate the footballs, and it was just the weather conditions.”
We guess it was just that easy to prove old Tommy was innocent!
But Ben didn’t go unrewarded! Though he has yet to hear from the NFL commissioner or anyone from the New England Patriots, he ended up winning a top award in his science fair!
The little scientist is also a huge Brady fan, so he was VERY pleased with the results.
What do you think of Ben’s findings?
