2015 was full of many ups and downs for Kristin Cavallari.

To catch you up, the former reality star welcomed her daughter Saylor James just three weeks before her brother Michael was tragically found dead in southern Utah.

As the blonde beauty grieved, she found a sense of purpose in her growing family, which includes husband Jay Cutler and their three children Saylor, 3 months, and sons Jaxon Wyatt, 22 months, and Camden Jack, 3.

When asked how she’s holding up at the BELLA magazine March/April 2016 Cover Launch Party in NYC on Monday, Miz Cavallari told People:

“I’m okay. I’m going to have good days and bad days, but I’ve really found a lot of strength in my kids, especially Saylor. I couldn’t just fall apart ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ I had a little baby to look after. When you lose someone, it really makes you realize how precious life is, and so I’m just thankful that I have my babies and I’m thankful for everything in my life.”

The shoe designer credits her children for being able to manage it all:

“Saylor is such a mellow, easy baby, and I have heard that girls are easier in the earlier stages, in the teen years they’re a little bit more work.”

As for Saylor’s big bros? The 29-year-old admits it took the middle child Jaxon longer to adjust, but they are in love with their little sister:

“They’re really cute, they lay on the floor with her and they talk to her and she smiles and laughs, and she just thinks that they’re great. The first week was tough with Jaxon. He would get upset every time I was nursing her, he’d grab my boppy billow and he’d throw himself on the ground, but once we got through that little phase, it’s been smooth sailing since.”

So sweet!

We’re happy to hear the Cavallari-Cutler brood is off to a great 2016!
