Mariah Carey REFUSES To Call Her New Reality Show ‘A Reality Show’ — And Reveals Fianc├â┬⌐ James Packer Doesn’t Want To Be Filmed!

Mariah Carey has a very specific vision about her new E! reality show set to debut later this year — mainly that she doesn’t envision it as a reality show!

Instead, Mariah’s World will follow the music icon in an eight-part docuseries as she goes on tour in Europe and South Africa while planning her wedding to billionaire fiance James Packer!

The diva is excited about her new show, but made it clear not to confuse it with E!’s line up of Kardashians and other reality shows. Speaking to The New York Times, she said:

“I refuse to call it a reality show.”

Whatever floats your boat, girl! A docuseries by any other name…

The show started filming two weeks ago, as Mimi wrapped up her Las Vegas residency and will move to her international tour with members of her entourage — which includes singers, dancers, and her manager!

Most of all, the songstress hopes that this reality sh — er, docuseries exposes all the “misperceptions” people have about her diva attitude. She added:

“I thought it would be a good opportunity to kind of, like, show my personality and who I am, even though I feel like my real fans have an idea of who I am. A lot of people have misperceptions about this and that.”

But unlike KUWTK, not everything Mariah’s life is fair game to exploit for the cameras — like her 4-year-old twins! She continued:

“I don’t want to do anything that’s exploitative. They haven’t been filmed at all yet. There might be a couple of moments, but it’s not about making them the stars of the show. They’re too young to make that decision.”

On that note, the 45-year-old confirmed that her “legit businessman” fianc├â┬⌐ doesn’t want to be on camera either, explaining:

“It’s not really his thing to be, like, traipsing all over Europe and hanging out with all my crew and dancers and singers.”

We don’t mind, because that just means more Mariah time! As for future seasons of Mariah’s World, the singer said only time will tell, quipping:

“I don’t know. We’ll see how long I can tolerate being around cameras that much.”

Do you, Mimi!

Will YOU be watching Mariah’s World when it premieres later this year?
