The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s best villain may be about to have his swan song.
In an interview with The Daily Beast, Tom Hiddleston got to talking about how excited he was for returning as Loki in next year’s Thor: Ragnarok.
But one of his reasons for getting stoked just totally got us bummed out!
The Night Manager star let slip:
“Thor 3 will be cool because I’ve not done it for four years. I love working with Chris [Hemsworth]. This will be my last time out of the gate.”
Will this really be the “last time” we see the God of Mischief?? When pressed, Hiddles backtracked a bit, saying:
“I don’t know! Honestly, I don’t know. They haven’t got their ducks in a row yet. They make it up as they go along.”
Wait, now we don’t know if he’s just trying to cover his tracks! He’s so darn good at lying!
It actually makes sense that Loki could meet his end considering the film’s subtitle is Ragnarok, the Norse version of Armageddon in which all the gods die.
But seeing him go will really poke us in the hearts…
