Some online have speculated that Halsey deactivated after taking abuse and bullying from Twitter users in regards to Kehlani‘s recent suicide attempt and the aftermath of that (below):

I’m glad Halsey deactivated. The hate she got was so unnecessary, but now she can take care of her mental health, I really hope she’s ok.
