Get well soon, Lin-Manuel Miranda!

The Hamilton creator and star won’t be performing for at least Tuesday night’s performance in New York!

The artist confirmed through Twitter that he has, unfortunately, come down with a case of acute laryngitis.

The theater visionary tweeted out earlier on Tuesday morning that he was a no-go for the evening show with the picture (above), captioned with the following:

“Here’s Dr. Pitman, me, and my grossly inflamed vocal cords. He is very handsome. Look at him, not the cords.”

It sucks that Miranda is going to be out a night or two, but refreshing that he’s found such a sense of humor about it.

Still, we just want him to get well soon, so as to re-join the amazing cast and take part in the incredible production he created!!

Javier Munoz has been Miranda’s understudy, typically filling in for certain matinee performances, and will continue to do so during the sickness.

A spokesperson for the show had a very brief message to relay about the sickness:

“Lin will indeed be out of the show tonight. That I can confirm.”

But that was it. As of now, no reports out yet on how many nights the brilliant performer may miss with the sickness.

Regardless, rest well, Lin-Manuel — you’ve earned it!
