Most high school seniors can’t wait for graduation, but no student is more set for college than Augusta Uwamanzu-Nna.
With a whopping 101.6 grade point average, the Elmont Memorial High School valedictorian has quite the decision to make about which college she wants to attend in the fall.
Because the 17-year-old has been accepted to EVERY SINGLE Ivy League school!
After four years of intense study groups and pursuing a well rounded range of interests like sports, dance, and science, Augusta got into Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, Yale, and the University of Pennsylvania!
The daughter of Nigerian immigrants is ecstatic over the news, saying:
“It’s very surreal. It was my dream to get into one of the schools. To get into all eight of them is crazy.”
Not only did Augusta sweep the Ivies, she was also accepted to other prestigious colleges like Johns Hopkins, MIT and New York University!
This is the second straight year an Elmont senior hit the Ivy jackpot — last year, Elmont grad Harold Ekah pulled off the same feat and ended up selecting Yale.
Augusta has yet to make a decision on which school to attend, adding:
“I want to see all of [the schools] this month. Then I can make my decision.”
Since the student has until May 1 to decide, we have a feeling she’ll be doing a lot of traveling this month.
No matter where she goes, we’re sure great things will come from this incredibly intelligent young woman! No pressure, girl!
