In an interview with People Magazine, Gilmore Girls star Yanic Truesdale (Michel Gerard) spoke out on filming the Netflix revival and what the environment is like now that Melissa has officially opted out. Naturally, Yanic has A LOT of feelings about the situation!
As for how he and the cast is dealing without their beloved Suki, the actor admitted:
“She’s a friend, we see each other a lot and I love her to death. There’s nothing I would like more than having her back on set, but it’s completely out of my control. Her schedule is her schedule. There’s a member of the family missing. She’s very much loved and adored, by the fans, the co-stars and by me.”
Aw! It’s too bad McCarthy was too busy promoting The Boss to attend! It’s obvious this wasn’t an issue of not being asked back…
On a more positive note, Y.T. revealed that we’ll learn a lot more about his sassy character this time around:
“For seven seasons, we got to know him very little personally. We never got to see him in his personal life and who he is, what’s life like. And we will now, and I’m happy about that.”
Sounds like a blast! We can’t wait.
So, will you tune in for the revival?
