Arnold Schwarzenegger should be SO proud!

According to insiders close to Arnold’s love child Joseph Baena, the 18-year-old is doing absolutely amazing at Pepperdine University in Malibu. Not only was Joe recently honored by the university as “philanthropic”, but the Daily Mail also reports that he’s a grade A student.

For those who don’t know, Schwarzenegger fathered Mr. Baena with his former maid Patricia ‘Patty’ Baena back in 1996. The indiscretion occurred while the muscle man was married to Maria Shriver — a scandal revealed in 2011 that ultimately caused their split.

To make matters worse, Joseph’s conception occurred exactly around the same time Maria got pregnant with the couple’s third child Christopher Schwarzenegger.

Despite all the drama, Arnold is allegedly footing the bill for his son’s $67,000 a year education at Pepperdine… an investment which has paid off. By all accounts, J.B. is absolutely crushing his business management classes as well as doing everything he can to contribute to the school’s community.

An insider said of Joseph’s impressive first year at Pepperdine and his philanthropy award:

“It shows his commitment to the school, and it’s a great way to meet other students. He’s on a great path, it will be interesting to see if he follows in his father’s footsteps, it certainly seems like he could end up working with Arnold some day.”

What great news! Even though A.S. skipped out on Joe’s high school graduation, we’re glad to hear he’s stepping up now (hopefully).

In addition to slaying his classes, Baena reportedly spends a lot of time at the gym like his poppa:

“I’ve seen him at the campus gym a lot. He’s definitely serious about working out. He seems like a nice enough guy.”

Yep, Joseph sounds like a chip off the old block.

Keep up the good work, Joe!
