Perks of the job!

The upcoming season of Game Of Thrones is it’s most mysterious yet.

To keep the new storylines from leaking to the public, HBO decided not to send screeners to the press for the sixth season of the fantasy hit.

But apparently, the premium cable network will make an exception for one fan — President Barack Obama!

At the season premiere event on Sunday, showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss confirmed rumors that POTUS requested episodes of GoT ahead of its return!

During HBO’s Facebook Live stream from the event, the Emmy-winning team was asked if they had any “ah-ha ├óΓé¼┬ª we’ve totally made it” moments going into Season 6 — to which Weiss responded:

“I think, for both of us, finding out the President wanted advanced copies of the episodes was an ├óΓé¼╦£ah-ha’ moment. That was a very strange moment.”

We can only imagine what it’s like to hear straight from the Iron Throne of America!

After Weiss revealed HBO had indeed obliged the president’s request, Benioff added:

“When the commander-in-chief says, ├óΓé¼╦£I want to see advanced episodes,’ what are you gonna do?”

Seeing as though Obama admitted that Jon Snow was one of his favorite characters on the show, we have a feeling he used his presidential influence just to find out what happens to the ill-fated Night’s Watchmen!

Here’s to hoping Obama does a State of the Union address to let us know how good it is!

For the rest of us common folk, we’ll have to catch the GoT premiere on April 24!
