Social media is such an incredible tool as it helps to keep people in contact, share information, and sometimes it can help do some good by finding missing people.
Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn is quite good at using both Facebook and Twitter to chronicle his life, reach out to fans, and give updates on his current projects. But now it appears the 45-year-old is using his social media platforms to help find one of his dear friends, Alison Wu.
The comic book film director has taken to Instagram, Twitter, and FB to send a message out regarding Alison as her roommate reported both her and the last person she was seen with, Scott Helton, missing.
Gunn took to IG only a few hours ago to share:
Have any of you seen or heard from Alison Wu (@alisonwuwu)? My dear friend has disappeared since April 10. “She was last seen with Scott Helton by her roommate on Sunday night (4/10). They found their phones and both sets of car keys in her room, and both of their cars are still in her parking space. Scott Helton works at Cedar Sinai hospital in Hollywood. He took her out of school for a week and they went to San Francisco, getting back on Sunday then both disappeared according to her roommates.” Many of you may recognize Alison Wu from my social media posts. She is one of the sweetest people I know, and I care about her deeply. Her family, friends, and I are worried sick. Please share this message with everyone everywhere and contact the UCLA police if you know anything. Thanks so much.A photo posted by James Gunn (@jamesgunn) on Apr 13, 2016 at 5:53am PDT
If you have ANY information regarding Alison or Scott, please reach out to the UCLA police!
We hope both Wu and Helton will be found safe and sound soon.
