Sony Reveals Spider-Man & Men In Black/21 Jump Street Crossover Titles At CinemaCon!

no title

Sony came to CinemaCon this week, and answered big mysteries about two major franchises.

First — yes, they’re serious about a Men In Black/21 Jump Street crossover. So serious in fact that they revealed a name for the strange franchise hybrid — MIB 23.

Well, it’s succinct, gotta give ’em that.

In other merger news, the deal with Disney and Marvel Studios means Spider-Man won’t just have a major role in the MCU but will also star in his own solo movies distributed by Sony.

And new Peter Parker Tom Holland was on hand at the event to reveal not just the title but the logo for the new iteration:

no title

Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Hmm. We’re guessing it’s a meta play on words. Obviously, Spidey is “coming home” to Marvel, and since he’s in high school there could actually be a very important dance involved.

The more interesting thing is that it’s back to simply “Spider-Man” with no Amazing or, as rumored, Spectacular.

So all future movies will simply be Spider-Man: Subtitle.

What do YOU think of the new titles??
