After swift and extremely negative social media feedback, AMC CEO Adam Aron has now released a NEW statement on Friday morning!

It completely walks back everything the exec said earlier about wondering if the company could allow people to keep their phones on during movies.

While the full — and very apologetic — letter is posted above, here is the kicker:

“Unlike the many AMC advancements that you have applauded, we have heard loud and clear that this is a concept our audience does not want. With your advice in hand, there will be NO TEXTING ALLOWED in any of the auditoriums at AMC Theatres. Not today, not tomorrow and not in the foreseeable future.”

Thank goodness!!

What do U think about AMC’s walk back??
