Celebrity attorney L. Londell McMillan is prepared to defend Prince‘s legacy!
On Monday, the entertainment lawyer spoke out in order to clarify that Prince was NOT on any drugs and lived a clean lifestyle — despite the rampant rumors that the Purple Rain artist had a drug addiction. Oh man!
In a conversation with the Associated Press, McMillan revealed that he had spoken to the late music icon the Sunday before he died, not long after the A-lister’s plane was forced to make an emergency landing due to a medical emergency. He shared:
“He said he was doing perfect. He said, ‘OK, I’ll call you soon.'”
How sad! While Prince’s autopsy was completed this past Friday at the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office, his cause of death has yet to be revealed. Although, it’s said that prior to his untimely passing, the Raspberry Beret singer was battling the flu.
In regards to the overdose rumors, the legal expert added:
“[Prince] was not on any drugs that would be any cause for concern…Everybody who knows Prince knows he wasn’t walking around drugged up. That’s foolish. No one ever saw Prince and said, ‘He looks high.’ It wasn’t what he was about.”
Hmm, very inneresting. McMillan, who knew The Artist for 25 years, also represented Michael Jackson prior to his death.
On the loss of his two iconic clients, the attorney shared on Twitter:
We can only imagine the heartbreak that he is currently dealing with. We’re wishing those who were close to Prince only the best during this sad time!
