On Tuesday, Rachel Roy formally denied she’s the woman (AKA Becky with the good hair) at the center of the Jay Z cheating rumors. As you may know, Beyonc├â┬⌐ hinted that her husband may’ve strayed in her new song Sorry — and Miz Roy has been the number one suspect for being the alleged mistress.
This theory was given some attention when the 42 year old referenced a lyric from the track on one of her pics on Instagram. After getting targeted by the Beyhive, Rachel made the smart decision to delete the snap and make her account temporarily private. Although, it appears that may not have been enough as she’s now officially spoken out on the controversy.
“I want to put the speculation and rumors to rest. My Instagram post was meant to be fun and lighthearted, it was misunderstood as something other than that. There is no validity to the idea that the song references me personally. There is no truth to the rumors.”
Oh snap! Of course, this recent statement comes shortly after the designer’s teenage daughter was the victim of some online bullying because of the gossip. She continued:
“Consequently, online haters have targeted me and my daughters in a hurtful and scary manner, including physical threats. As a mother ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ and I know many mothers would agree ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ I feel that bullying in any form is harmful and unacceptable. I would hope that the media sees the real issue here ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ the issue of cyber bullying ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ and how it should not be tolerated by anyone.”
