Vanessa Hudgens Opens Up About Losing Her Father: ‘It’s Just Something We Have To Get Through’

Vanessa Hudgens opens up about the loss of her father.

Vanessa Hudgens has been so strong since the passing of her father, Greg Hudgens, to cancer ahead of her Grease: Live premiere back in January.

In case you don’t remember, the 27-year-old starlet continued with the FOX premiere despite the heartbreaking loss, dedicating her performance to him.

Well, in the newest issue of People, she decided to open up about his death:

“There are highs and there are lows. It sucks, but death happens. It never makes it easier but it happens to all of us. It’s just something we have to get through until we all meet again in heaven.”

Aww! Sounds like she’s handling it as well as she can.

Though the starlet maintained her mother, Gina, has been her rock during this hard time.

“She’s so strong through the hardest of times. But she has this lightheartedness and this light that just beams out of her very being and it’s so special. Life is about perspective. The way you choose to see your life is the way your life is going to become.”

At least they can lean on each other and get through it all as a family.

Our thoughts continue to be with the Hudgens as they continue to mourn their loss.
