Now that Donald Trump is closer than ever to securing the Republican presidential nomination, his critics are reminding voters just how effing ridiculous some of his controversial policies are.
Throughout his campaign, the billionaire business mogul has vowed to build a wall along the Mexico border to hinder illegal immigration, and even pledged to temporarily ban Muslims from coming into the country.
And that doesn’t sit well with Amal Clooney, who says Trump’s extreme views on Muslims should be challenged.
In an interview with BBC, the human rights lawyer — who specializes in public international law — spoke out on the “very crucial” U.S. election — specifically, the GOP frontrunner.
“If you actually look at what [Trump] specifically says in that now-infamous speech about Muslims, he kept saying, ‘They only want jihad ├óΓé¼┬ª they don’t believe in our way of life; they don’t respect our system.’ And when he says ├óΓé¼╦£they’├óΓé¼┬ª People should’ve been saying, ‘Do you mean the 1.5 billion people around the world who fit that description? Do you mean the people who are US citizens, who are members of your military, the vast majority of whom are not extremist or violent in any way?'”
Umm├óΓé¼┬ª why wasn’t this brilliant beauty moderating the debates?! Oh right, she was busy protecting human rights…
“If, at the end of all of this, he gets beaten by the person who becomes the first female president of the United States, then I think that would send a very positive message from the electorate back to him as to what they really think about that point of view.”
AH-Mazing! We couldn’t agree more!
Ch-ch-check out a clip of the interview (below) to hear Amal’s eloquent slam!
