We’re still so heartbroken by this news.
As you may know, comedian Patton Oswalt suffered a tragic loss two weeks ago when his wife Michelle McNamara passed away in her sleep.
The true crime writer was tragically young, only 46 years old when she died. Since then her husband and their 7-year-old daughter Alice have been busy keeping her memory alive.
We’ve already heard Alice’s unbelievably mature response to her mother’s passing, and now Patton is sharing his own heartfelt thoughts on his family’s loss.
The comic is featured in TIME this week where he penned a touching tribute to his wife, saying:
“The reaction to her passing, the people who are shocked at her senseless absence, is a testament to how she steered her life with joyous, wicked curiosity. Cops and comedians call├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥speechless or sending curt regards. Her family is devastated but can’t help remember all of the times she made them laugh or comforted them, and they smile and laugh themselves. She hasn’t left a void. She’s left a blast crater.“
We can’t even begin to imagine what he’s going through right now — but we’re sure Michelle would be proud of how Patton is handling such a tough situation.
Our thoughts continue to be with Michelle’s friends and family at this unimaginably difficult time.
