Do you believe in magic? Well, you should because this is truly a magical musical development!

Aly and AJ Michalka have confirmed that they’re making music once again, and we’re losing our ever-loving sh*t about it!

The former Disney darlings are officially back in the studio, and we couldn’t be happier! Over the weekend, the iZombie star took to Instagram to reveal that she and her sis are working on some new stuff, posting:

The dynamic duo even confirmed the news on Twitter, writing:

That tweet was shared just above an article about their comeback!

The Cow Belles star’s last album was Insomniatic from 2007, which gave us hits like Potential Breakup Song and Like Whoa.

But after that, their music careers stalled for a little bit. In 2009, the lovely ladies changed the name of their girl group from Aly & AJ to 78violet, and ditched their deal with Hollywood Records.

Over the years they released a few songs like their 2013 single Hothouse, but this will be their first batch of music under their original moniker in NINE years.

And this isn’t the first time this year that the singing sisters announced their venture back into music.

Just last month, the girls hosted an online Q&A where they first revealed they were recording again! And here’s what they had to say about the project:

For the record, Mike cowrote Eminem‘s songs The Real Slim Shady and Just Lose It. He’s also worked with artists like Regina Spektor, Tegan and Sara, and Maroon 5. Not to mention, he was nominated for Producer of the Year at the 2008 Grammys.

Sooooo what can we expect from these potential makeup songs? The girls added:

We. Can’t. Wait.

Luckily they’ve been posting pics from the studio like this one (below):

So, we’re sure they’ll keep us updated!

Super excited to hear what they come up with this time!
