Get your tissue boxes ready…
For a recent interview, Prince Harry opened up about his late mother Princess Diana‘s influence and the prospect of having children of his own. Ooh, go on!
As a promotion for the royal’s Invictus Games, the ginger prince sat down with People Magazine in the Audience Room at Kensington Palace just before departing for North America. As you may know, Prince William‘s brother founded the paralympic-style multi-sport event for wounded armed services personnel and veterans. AH-Mazing!
In regard to his iconic momma, Prince Harry shared:
“All I want to do is make my mother incredibly proud. That’s all I’ve ever wanted to do. When she died, there was a gaping hole, not just for us but also for a huge amount of people across the world. If I can try and fill a very small part of that, then job done. I will have to, in a good way, spend the rest of my life trying to fill that void as much as possible. And so will William.”
We’re not crying, you are! While Harry noted that his mother is an incredible source of inspiration for him, he also conveyed that he’s making his own way. He added:
“I enjoy what I do. But I don’t do things because I feel as though my mother would want me to do them.”
Well that’s fair. Still, at the end of the day, Prince Charles‘ youngest feels that he’s a lot like his mother in many ways. The 31 year old continued:
“I know I’ve got a lot of my mother in me. I am doing a lot of things that she would probably do.”
But what about continuing his family’s royal lineage? When it comes to being a father, Harry is in NO rush as he relayed:
“There have been moments through life, especially when we do a tour abroad, when I think, ‘I’d love to have kids now.’ . . . And then there are other times when I bury my head in the sand going, ‘All right, don’t need kids!’ There’s no rush. I think . . . I tell you what: There’s been times I’ve been put off having children.”
“Nobody wants to be boring.”
Aww! Isn’t he just the cutest??
