A former Disney child star is now finding fame for a whole new reason.
Joey Cramer, who starred in the 1986 film Flight Of The Navigator, was arrested earlier this week after an alleged bank robbery in British Columbia.
According to law enforcement, the 42-year-old was wearing a disguise consisting of a shoulder-length wig, bandana, and dark jacket at the time of the reported robbery. Unfortunately for him, he wasn’t as incognito as he thought as RCMP Constable Harrison Mohr revealed:
“Despite the fact that a disguise was used during the robbery, the suspect was quickly identified by some of our officers, who had recently dealt with him on an unrelated matter. We hope that the community feels safer now that the suspect has been apprehended.”
Joey has since been charged with four different offenses, including robbery, disguise with intent to commit an indictable offense, failure to stop for peach officer, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
This isn’t Cramer’s first run-in with the law either. It’s been reported the former actor was arrested twice in 2008, and three times in 2011, with his latest conviction being for using a forged document at “local financial institutions.”
And for now, there’s been no word of his conviction for the alleged bank robbery.
