Most recently, the 23-year-old has been under investigation for domestic assault against his girlfriend Colleen Crowley.
Well after being indicted by a Dallas grand jury on a misdemeanor assault charge, the QB turned himself in to authorities in Texas on Wednesday and was booked for misdemeanor assault.
What’s disgusting about all this is not only was the athlete released on $1,500 bond, but when it was time for the partier to take his mugshot (above), he decided to smile. REALLY?! We can’t believe he’s taking domestic violence as such a joke!
If you think that he didn’t really mean to smile, or is mature enough to know his actions should be taken seriously, we’d say you’re wrong as Manziel took to Twitter to joke:
Johnny’s tweet, which has since been deleted, was a reference to his arrest in 2012 while he was still attending Texas A&M. Manziel was only 19 at the time and was charged for fighting as well as carrying a fake ID and ended up spending a night in jail.
As for the former college star’s case this time around, Johnny could face up to a year in jail if convicted.
Despite the fact that the former Cleveland Browns player had a smile plastered on his face, police said that he was not only polite, but cooperated as well. Still, we think anyone joking about domestic violence is absolutely disgusting.
