Justin Bieber is so over fan photos.
Earlier this year, the pop star
pissed off worried a lot of Beliebers when he revealed he would no longer be taking pictures with his faithful followers on his Purpose World Tour because of a security slip-up mental health reasons.
So, it seemed the only way JB’s admirers would get a pic with their icon is if they snipe a snap on the street. But now the Biebs is shutting THAT down, too!
On Tuesday, the Canadian crooner took to Instagram to post an explanation as to why he won’t stop for a selfie with an adoring fan.
The performer penned:
“If you happen to see me out somewhere know that I’m not not gonna take a picture I’m done taking pictures. It has gotten to the point that people won’t even say hi to me or recognize me as a human, I feel like a zoo animal, and I wanna be able to keep my sanity.”
We totally get that it must be weird and alienating to constantly have cameras shoved in your face while people are shouting at you and screaming your name.
But to be fair, Justin, that’s the nature of the business. That’s what you signed up for when you decided to become a superstar.
The 22-year-old disagrees, however, adding:
“I realize people will be disappointed but I don’t owe anybody a picture. and people who say ‘but I bought your album’ know that you got my album and you got what you paid for AN ALBUM! It doesn’t say in fine print whenever you see me you also get a photo.”
The What Do You Mean performer sure sounds super serious about all this!
Since he’s currently in Boston gearing up for two nights of shows at the TD Garden, we wonder if this post was inspired because he got mobbed by Beliebers while walking around Beantown barefoot.
After all, there were quite a few shots of the singer surfacing on social media from his strolls through the Massachusetts capital.
However, if he’s spotted out in a public place, he really can’t legally stop fans from snapping shots.
What do U think of Justin’s post?! Is it a fair request or a diva demand?! Ch-ch-check it out (below) and SOUND OFF in the comments!
