The WWE announced wrestler Adam Rose — born Raymond Leppan — has been “suspended indefinitely” after a domestic violence arrest on Wednesday.
According to reports, the 36-year-old was arrested at 1:30 a.m. in Florida on a battery domestic violence change — and was also charged with tampering with a witness.
Rose and his wife were reportedly in a verbal argument about “their marital problems” when the athlete “grabbed the victim on each side of her face with his hands and pulled her face close to his while he screamed at her.”
When his wife called 911, Rose allegedly pulled the phone away from her — which is why he was charged with tampering with a witness.
The WWE took swift action in suspending Rose. They released the following statement:
“WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence. Per our policy, Raymond Leppan has been suspended indefinitely following his arrest.”
Leppan was also suspended for 60 days in April for violating the organization’s drug policy.
