Ryan Gosling is an expert at deflecting questions about his personal life.
But that didn’t stop Good Morning America’s Amy Robach from asking about the actor’s 2-week-old daughter during an interview on Thursday morning!
Gosling stopped by the ABC morning program to promote his new film The Nice Guys, but was met with questions about his newborn daughter Amada Gosling — who girlfriend Eva Mendes secretly gave birth to in April.
Right away, the GMA anchor asked:
“I understand the girl-to-boy ratio in your house is now 3-to-1. How’s that going?”
Not usually one for dishing on his private life, the 35-year-old had fun with his answer — throwing costar Russell Crowe under the bus in the process. He said:
“It’s heaven. It’s like walking through a field of flowers every day. I live with angels. It’s a ray of sunshine in a dark time, because with Russell, really, it’s sad. It’s sad that we’ve turned out this way.”
Gosling also said he and Crowe were undergoing a “conscious un-buddying” (throwing some shade at Gwyneth Paltrow? We respect that.) and joked that their on screen chemistry was “a filter that they added in later on.” LOLz!
Ch-ch-check out the full interview (above) to hear all of Ry Guy’s zingers!
