Local Meteorologist Asked To Cover Up On Air Because The News Station Was ‘Getting Emails’ About Her Shoulder-Baring Dress!

Did we time travel back to the 1950s?

A local TV station is getting major heat after ordering meteorologist Liberté Chan to cover up during her morning weather forecast on Saturday!

The KTLA weather reporter had to change out of her original outfit because it didn’t work well with the green screen — so she changed into a beaded black dress.

But apparently not everyone was a fan of her glammed out look because leading weekend anchor Chris Burrous handed Chan a sweater to put on — right in the middle of her weather report!

As a reluctant Chan put on the sweater, she asked:

“You want me to put this on? Why? Because it’s cold?”

After Burrous responded that station was “getting a lot of emails,” Chan decided to post the video to her Facebook page, writing:

“Apparently, some viewers think my dress is too revealing.”

The controversial cover up quickly went viral, prompting Twitter to discuss the veiled misogyny behind #SweaterGate.

Not only was it embarrassing for a grown professional to be asked to cover up in the middle of her job, but SO disrespectful!
