If you’ve been paying any attention to the news over the past year, we’re sure you know that Donald Trump has said some pretty awful things about Megyn Kelly, among others, and the GOP candidate is finally ready to apologize — kind of.
On Tuesday night, Trump sat down with Kelly for a primetime special on Megyn Kelly Presents to chat with the Fox News anchor about his campaign, his hateful comments and tweets directed at her as well as others, and talk about what happens if he fails in the election!
The biggest topic of the night though was Megyn asking the orange-skinned buffoon about whether he regrets any of the controversial actions and statements while campaigning to which the former Celebrity’s Apprentice star said:
“I could’ve done certain things differently. I could’ve used different language in a few instances, but overall I have to be proud of what I’ve done. If I were soft, if I were ‘presidential’ … if I hadn’t fought back the way I fought back, I don’t think I would’ve been successful.”
The blonde beauty also made sure to grill Donald about those “bimbo” retweets and comments he sent out, to which he said:
“Ooo. Okay. Did I say that? Excuse me. Over your life, Megyn, you’ve been called a lot worse … It’s a modern form of fighting back.”
But the 69-year-old is FINALLY willing to bury the hatched as he admitted:
“I’m going to stop it about you now because I think I like our relationship right now.”
The 45-year-old interviewer also asked the polarizing politician his thoughts on failing the win the presidency to which he replied:
“Unless I win, I can’t do the changes, I can’t make America great again. If I don’t go all the way and if I don’t win, I will consider it to be a total and complete waste of time, energy and money.”
During the program, Kelly also used the platform and publicity to announce that she’s writing a book where she will “speak openly about [her] year with Donald Trump” and you can preorder it now!
As for businessman’s thoughts on how the interview went, well he took to Twitter to share:
Well, that is it. Well done Megyn — and they all lived happily ever after! Now let us all see how “THE MOVEMENT” does in Oregon tonight!
