We’re loving this revamped version of Alicia Keys!
On Friday, Alicia gifted us with the beautiful music video for In Common, a song about “individuality” and acceptance. The song is the first taste of new music we’ve had from Ms. Keys since her 2012 album Girl On Fire.
Not only does the black and white vid features a flawless A.K. sans makeup, but it also shows her in a more casual look. The beauty’s ensemble really vibes well with the relaxed and unique tone of the video.
To make the endeavor even more lovely, it features a TON of talented dancers showing off their moves amidst a stripped down and urban backdrop. Let’s just say there’s a lot of gifted people in this work!
Speaking to Fader Magazine about the vid’s concept, she gushed:
“This video is about celebrating our individuality, and how in the brilliance of our uniqueness, the magic of it all is at the core, we are all the same. We want the same things. We all want to experience love, the freedom to be our truest selves, to love whomever we want and to be accepted and celebrated for all of our nuances and so called imperfections that make us, us.”
Sounds great to us! We definitely need a little more acceptance in our world right now, especially with our crazy political climate right now.
So, what do YOU think of Alicia’s latest work?
