Angelina Jolie-Pitt is making Hollywood and the rest of us look bad!
In a recent statement, Ms. Jolie-Pitt officially revealed her latest role as visiting professor at the esteemed London School of Economics. The move is just one of the many prestigious endeavors Angie has taken on over the years as a global activist and charity enthusiast.
While A.J. won’t be teaching full-time, she’ll act as a visiting professor for the school’s masters course on women, peace and security for the 2016-2017 school year. This means the momma will give occasional lectures, attend workshops and public events, and also help out with research projects.
Gushing over her new job, the actress divulged:
“I am very encouraged by the creation of this master’s programme. I hope other academic institutions will follow this example, as it is vital that we broaden the discussion on how to advance women’s rights and end impunity for crimes that disproportionately affect women, such as sexual violence in conflict. I am looking forward to teaching and to learning from the students as well as to sharing my own experiences of working alongside governments and the United Nations.”
So exciting! Not to mention the position couldn’t come at a better time now that husband Brad Pitt is currently filming close by. It’s no surprise the couple decided to make London their home for the time being!
What’s especially exciting about the activist’s new gig is that it’s the first program of it’s kind. Angelina and Britain’s former foreign secretary William Hauge first launched the initiative last year.
Congrats on your new job, Angie!
