Anne Hathaway Wants To Be In A Quentin Tarantino Film — Can You Imagine The Family-Friendly Actress Taking That On?!

no title

Even though Anne Hathaway may be a family-friendly actress, don’t think she doesn’t have a mean streak!

The Alice Through The Looking Glass star was at a press junket promoting her new film this week when she admitted that although she loves the family-friendly movies she makes, she wants something a little more… intense.

Intense, like, a Quentin Tarantino film!!

Whoa!! That’d be crazy to see Anne in a film directed by the legendary — and intense — filmmaker, but she said she’s up for the challenge because of something he does really well:

“I’ve always wanted to be in a Quentin Tarantino film. I really, I love the way he sees women. I think there’s definitely room for that in the world, and I would love to be one of his heroines.”

And that would be cool to see — and probably a huge challenge for the Alice star to perform!

But at the press conference, she also clued in reporters on exactly where she gets that streak for wanting a challenge like Tarantino: her parents!

Hathaway said:

“My parents were very smart. They never said ‘You can do anything because you’re a girl’ – they just said, ‘You can do anything.’ They said the same thing to my brothers, and I believed them because I loved them and I trusted them. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned what the challenges are, and I’m going with them. But I’m really happy that my parents gave me that initial, beautiful gust of wind to kind of take off with.”

And if you think all this Tarantino talk and girl power stuff means she’s getting away from her family-friendly bread and butter, well, think again!

Hathaway was pretty adamant that new movie roles or not, she’s extremely proud of where her career has thus far taken her, saying:

“I’m proud that my body of work includes stories that allow families to experience that together. I can’t say that I’m going to continue to make them because I have a child now, I just will continue to hopefully make them because I respond to them and seek challenges as an actress.”

Well there you go, sounds like a shrewd and professional new momma, doesn’t she?!

You can see Alice Through The Looking Glass in theaters beginning on Friday!
