He’s doing it again!
We’re sure you’re all aware about some of the crazy stunts Shia LaBeouf has pulled over the years in the name of art — most recently the actor attended a movie marathon where he streamed himself watching all his movies.
Well the 29-year-old is getting together with his other art collaborators, Nastja R├â┬╢nkk├â┬╢ and Luke Turner, to join up with Vice to hitchhike across the U.S. — in the name of art, of course!
Since May 9, LaBeouf, R├â┬╢nkk├â┬╢, and Turner have been tweeting out seemingly random GPS coordinates to many fans’ confusion and now we know why!
Over the next couple weeks, the three “artists” will be hitchhiking across the U.S. and using Twitter to help gain rides! Once the trio have stropped and need a ride, they will tweet out the coordinates and wait for a ride from the first person who comes along!
Like the group’s other projects, the trek across America also has a hashtag as Shia recently shared:
The project is commissioned by the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art as part of The Finnish Institute in London and MediaLive 2016!
Similar to the group’s other projects, #TAKEMEANYWHERE involves audience interaction as you can follow them on social media to keep track of pics and videos they post from their trip, and you can keep up on the Transformers star’s journey in REAL TIME on TakeMeAnywhere.vice.com.
Are you going to try and pick up Shia and his crew?!
