Books vs comic books! Zombies vs wights! Beard vs… well, beard, we guess.

The Walking Dead and Game Of Thrones may be the two most successful book-to-TV adaptations of all time, but according to one creator, HBO‘s success is now at the expense of readers.

When asked about the TWD surpassing the books he’d already written, author and exec producer Robert Kirkman said he believes strongly that ruins the experience of reading the books.

He told Rolling Stone:

“I would never do that. That’s the one thing I’m disappointed in George R.R. Martin for doing. He should have just been like, ‘F*ck you. You make it up now, I’ll get to mine when I’m ready.'”

Dayum! Obvi he’s referring to Season 6’s big reveals, which George didn’t quite get to in his 25-year-old Song Of Ice And Fire series after the TV show lapped him this year.

Do YOU think the show should have been completely different from the book??
