TODAY‘s Savannah Guthrie Reveals She’s Pregnant — And Why The Zika Virus Will Keep Her From The Summer Olympics — Watch!

Talk about an exciting way to start the day!

On Tuesday morning, TODAY anchor Savannah Guthrie made a big announcement when she revealed that she and her husband husband Mike Feldman are expecting a second kid!

During a segment on the talk show, The 44-year-old newswoman did her best to pretend to play a game of Tuesday Trending Fishbowl which was an OBVIOUS setup so Savannah could reveal to the world that she’s pregnant and due in December!

Sadly, this means that the brunette beauty will have to miss out on the upcoming Summer Olympics in Rio as she said:

“The doctors say that we shouldn’t because of the Zika virus so I’ll miss it. You’re going to have to go to female beach volleyball without me, Matt. Try to carry on.”

This makes a lot of sense as the World Health Organization declared Zika a global health emergency last January.

The danger of the virus is that it is linked to microcephaly, which can cause small heads and cognitive impairment in newborn babies. Keep your bundle of joy safe, Savannah!

Ch-ch-check out the ADORABLE announcement as Guthrie also reveals she won’t be attending this year’s Olympics (above)!
