The stories are coming in more and more frequently, and they are just so awful.

Eddie Justice, a man trapped inside Pulse Nightclub who was sending his mother frantic texts about what was happening, has been confirmed dead after the weekend’s tragic events in Orlando.

Justice was one of the 49 people killed by shooter Omar Mateen after the deranged gunman opened fire in the club — but it’s Justice’s story that millions of people have seen through cable TV news and other outlets.

When the shooting started, the 30-year-old accountant ran into a bathroom in an attempt to hide.

But after his group was trapped there and eventually cornered by the shooter, he began sending his mother Mina frantic text messages that startled her awake just after 2:00 a.m. on Sunday morning.

The two had a full conversation back and forth, with Justice writing:

“I’m gonna die … Mommy I love you. In the club they shooting.”

After his mother responded by asking which club, and if he was OK, Justice replied again:

“Call them momm [sic]. Now. I’m tell I’m bathroom. He’s coming. I’m gonna die.”

Truly bone chilling.

Mina explained more in detail to the AP on Sunday afternoon — remember, though, this video is taken before she knew for sure that her son was among the dead:

That poor, poor mother.

May Eddie — and all the other victims — rest in peace.
