There is so much injustice in this world…
On Friday, Christina Grimmie was murdered by Kevin James Loibl as she was signing autographs after her concert in Orlando, Fl.
As police are currently figuring out the killer’s motive, publications have reported that the shooting may have to do with The Voice contestant’s Christian faith.
According to the Santa Monica Observer, authorities are investigating the singer’s death as a hate crime after reviewing Loibl’s cell phone and computer records. However, according to Orlando police spokesperson Wanda Miglio:
“I have received no information about that rumor.”
The 22-year-old has mentioned her faith on her website and on social media. In February 2013, she wrote the following tweet:
“Sometimes God allows terrible things to happen in your life and you don’t know why. But that doesn’t mean you should stop trusting Him.”
In 2012, she even covered In Christ Alone on YouTube where she wrote in the caption:
“JESUS CHRIST IS MY LORD AND SAVIOR and i’m not at all ashamed of it.”
Our thoughts and prayers go to Christina’s friends and family during this difficult time.
