Lena Dunham Defends Kim Kardashian’s Controversial Nude Selfie In The Name Of Body Positivity!

Lena Dunham and Kim Kardashian

Oh, people are still talking about this?

Forever a champion of body positivity, Lena Dunham has a thing or two to say about all that backlash Kim Kardashian West received earlier this year for that nude selfie. You know the one.

According to People, the 30-year-old added her two cents to the conversation during the Power Women Breakfast series hosted by TheWrap:

“I’m all about it. Every version of being female and feeling powerful is f*cking great with me. I don’t have a problem with it.”

And hey, maybe people shouldn’t be so quick to judge, eh? We can definitely get on board with spreading more love in this world in light of recent events.

The Girls creator added:

“I have no interest in, like, getting on a soapbox and making decisions about what should make other women feel beautiful or feel healthy or feel strong.”

As for all of the heated debate surrounding the KUWTK star’s decision to expose her bare bod on Instagram, Miz Dunham expressed:

“I think that’s a big part of the problem with the feminist dialogue on the Internet right now is like, why are we screaming at each other? I don’t think there are important conversations to be had about, like whether Kim Kardashian’s nude selfie is like negatively affecting me or my child.”

Ha! Yes, there are much more important things to concern ourselves with. Right there with ya, L.D.!

And although Lena doesn’t have any children yet — she addressed the kind of world she’d like to see for her possible future daughter:

“I don’t have a child, but I feel like that’s a lot of people’s arguments, like, ‘I don’t want my daughter growing up in this world.’ I’m like, ‘I want my daughter growing up in a world where there’s, like, a million options about what’s okay to do and how it’s okay to look.'”

Preach, bb!

Meanwhile, Keeks is already having flowers sent to your door!
