Sexism is still very much a problem in Hollywood.

This issue is one Zoe Saldana is very familiar with as she had no qualms talking about it in her July interview with Allure magazine. In fact, the Star Trek actress even dished about how one producer once told her she was only hired to look good wearing lingerie. How awful!

Miz Saldana dished:

“A producer said, ‘I hired you to look good in your underwear holding a gun.”

Gross. While the A-lister didn’t specify which film she was talking about we should note Zoe had a pretty famous scene in The Losers where she’s in her undergarments and whips out a gun.

She continued:

“I was told walking into this project that they really wanted me for the part, and that any input or ideas I had to please share them. That’s what I was doing, and this producer was so bothered by the fact that he had to disrupt his vacation to call me and tell me to stop being a difficult b*tch. I thought, ‘Wow, it’s real. It really happens.'”

Smh! This isn’t the first time the 37-year-old’s discussed this controversial topic as she brought up the underwear comment for a sit down with the Philadelphia Daily News back in 2015.

To make matters worse, Zoe also felt one of her studio employers thought she was “difficult” after she requested they cover her twins Cy and Bowie‘s childcare. The mother of two elaborated to Allure:

“The tone changed in the negotiations. I was starting to feel that I was…difficult. This is a necessity that you must cover for me in order for me to go and perform my job.”

So how do we fix this problem? Well, according to the Avatar alum, the film studios’ female employees are the ones enforcing “man made” rules. She concluded:

“When are we going to learn to stick together?”
