On Monday, it was revealed that former Real Housewives of Orange County star Lauri Peterson‘s son Joshua Waring was arrested as a suspect in an attempted murder case in Costa Mesa, CA. Yikes.
According to the Costa Mesa Police, the reality star’s flesh-and-blood was booked hours after a shooting and police chase took place. The cops allege Waring shot Daniel Lopez in the torso around 2:30 a.m. at a sober living home located on Babb Street.
On the cause of the altercation, Lieutenant Paul Beckman explained:
“Apparently there had been a previous confrontation between [Waring] and the occupants of that residence earlier, and he had returned.”
Thankfully, it is expected that the victim will survive after the paramedics brought him to the Orange County Global Medical Center for treatment. As for Joshua, he resisted arrest as he attempted to flee the scene in a stolen BMW SUV. It’s said the vehicle wasn’t spotted again until a police helicopter saw it eight hours later.
Obviously, Waring’s escape plan didn’t work as he crashed the SUV, briefly attempted to escape on foot, and inevitably surrendered himself to the cops. The San Juan Capistrano resident has since been booked for attempted murder, vehicle theft, evading the police, a hit-and-run, and assault and battery. His bail has been set at $1 million.
Unfortunately this is not Joshua’s first run in with the law as he pleaded not guilty on drugs and forgery charges back in May. Not to mention, the ex-Bravolebrity’s son has pleaded guilty in various drug related cases between 2008 and 2016. We have a feeling it’s going to be pretty hard for Joshua to come back from this…
