What a disgusting story.

According to the Los Angeles Times, a THIRD person has been charged in connection with the death of a 50-year-old homeless man named George Lowery.

Per the report, 18-year-old ex-cheerleader Hailey Suder was charged with accessory after the fact for George’s BRUTAL murder back in April near San Diego. It’s unclear at this time how exactly Hailey was involved.

As for the other two perps, brothers Austin Mostrong and Preston Mostrong, they face murder and torture charges which they pled NOT guilty to at Monday’s court hearing. Ms. Suder also pled NOT guilty to her charges.

To make matters more disgusting in this case, Lowery was married to his wife Penny Lowery for twenty-five years. Penny had the unfortunate task of finding her husband’s bruised and bloodied body on that tragic morning in April.

While George’s daughter Katey Torres admits her dad and mom had fallen on hard times, she had nothing but good things to say about the pair:

“My father was a generous man. Although he did not have much he was always giving. Anyone he came across loved his personality and he was always talking to people. Anyone he saw that needed help or just needed a smile he’d be there lifting your spirits. If someone was in need he would do what he could to help, no matter how hard the task. If he came across good fortune, he shared it. His whole life revolved around his wife Penny. Working and doing any handy work he could to provide for him and his wife and family.”

Ugh. What a tragic and sad story — we’re glad the judge in this case has set bail at $3 million dollars for both Austin and Preston. Based on the evidence in this case, they had both been involved in altercations with the homeless population before.
