What the ACTUAL eff.
Every time Stacey Dash makes a controversial comment, we have such a hard time fathoming how she could possibly top herself.
But she just did again, and in the most insane and offensive way possible.
On Sunday, Jesse Williams received a standing ovation for his empowering speech about the Black Lives Matter movement and racial equality while accepting the Humanitarian Award at this year’s BET Awards.
On Wednesday, the actress took to her blog to senselessly slam the Grey’s Anatomy star over his moving moment onstage.
The 49-year-old argued that the BET Awards are “keeping racism and segregation alive” — which is why she wants to get rid of the network altogether — and that the hunky actor’s powerful words were “nothing short of an attack on white people,” saying:
“You’ve just seen the perfect example of a HOLLYWOOD plantation slave! Sorry, Mr Williams. But the fact that you were standing on that stage at THOSE awards tells people you really don’t know what your talking about. Just spewing hate and anger.”
Whoa. If ANYONE is spewing hate and anger, it’s the FOX contributor.
We have learned to expect the unexpected (and the offensive, and the nonsensical) from Miz Dash, but we never thought that kind of verbiage would be coming out of her mouth.
And sadly, Perezcious readers, her rant wasn’t even over. She continued:
“Because you my man are just like everyone else hustling to get money. But your cognitive dissidents has you getting it from THAT BYSTANDER whom YOU DONT NEED. Yes. BLACK ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION is WHITE OWNED. GET over yourself and get on with it!”
Ugh. We’re going to assume she meant “cognitive dissonance” but as with all her other statements wasn’t about to double check if she was correct before speaking…
But wait, she also accused the 34-year-old of perpetuating a bad attitude, adding:
“That chip on the shoulders of people like you will weigh you down and keep you from flying free. But true freedom is never free. You have to know how to fly. If anyone is making you feel this way its you. Living in a psychological prison of your own making. If anyone is GHETTO-IZING anyone, it’s people like you letting the BETs and other media outlets portray us in stereotypes.”
We honestly don’t get Stacey’s delusion.
The fact of the matter is there ARE still social and racial injustices going on in our country, and we don’t understand why Stacey is trying to tear down people fighting for actual equality.
Also, didn’t Jesse preemptively tell her to sit down already?
