On Tuesday night at a North Carolina rally, the Donald decided to lay praise on someone even his own supporters would find SHOCKING — Saddam Hussein.
Yup, you read that right, the late President of Iraq, whom the U.S. fought in the first Gulf War. The one who was executed for war crimes against his own people.
Trump said of Hussein:
“He was a bad guy ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ really bad guy. But you know what he did well? He killed terrorists. He did that so good. They didn’t read them the rights. They didn’t talk. They were terrorists. Over. Today, Iraq is Harvard for terrorism.”
He’s praising a dictator for using totalitarian rule and throwing out due process?? The guy running for PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES???
We guess it’s not TOO surprised seeing as how Donald’s ex Ivana Trump said in an old interview that the 69-year-old once kept a book of Hitler’s speeches by his bed…
Thankfully, Hillary Clinton didn’t let this little comment slip past her took issue with the former Celebrity Apprentice star saying his “praise for brutal strongmen seemingly knows no bounds.” Clinton continued:
“He has applauded the strength China showed in the Tiananmen Square massacre, offered admiration for Kim Jong Un’s murderous consolidation of power in North Korea, and consistently lavished praise on Vladimir Putin. Tonight, Trump yet again lauded Saddam Hussein as a great killer of terrorists, noting with approval that he never bothered to read anyone their rights.”
The Democratic candidate added:
“In reality, Hussein’s regime was a sponsor of terrorism ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ one that paid families of suicide bombers who attacked Israelis, among other crimes. Trump’s cavalier compliments for brutal dictators, and the twisted lessons he seems to have learned from their history, again demonstrate how dangerous he would be as Commander-in-Chief and how unworthy he is of the office he seeks.”
We’re so glad Miz Clinton fired back at the
imbecile Republican candidate, even he’s probably too thick headed and stubborn to listen to anyone else’s opinions!
