We all saw it coming.
Bernie Sanders has been trudging through a long primary battle against Hillary Clinton.
The Vermont Senator still has yet to officially drop out of the presidential race, but has been slowly inching his way towards #TeamHil ever since she became the presumptive Democratic nominee last month.
But it looks like Sanders will soon throw in the towel, because he’s reportedly planning on endorsing Clinton for president next week!
According to CBS News, a close source to the Clinton campaign field operations and strategy confirmed that Bernie will endorse Hillary at a New Hampshire event on Tuesday!
Whoa! Big news!
Clinton’s campaign is also strategizing with the Democratic National Committee plans to maximize the impact of Sanders’ endorsement — and present a unified party ahead of the Republican National Convention later this month.
That shouldn’t be too hard to do, especially seeing as how hilariously disjointed the GOP is these days with trying to make living muppet Donald Trump seem like a presentable candidate.
Sanders alluded to his Clinton endorsement in an interview that will air on Thursday’s Charlie Rose, saying:
“We have got to do everything that we can to defeat Donald Trump and elect Hillary Clinton. I don’t honestly know how we would survive four years of a Donald Trump as president.”
We’re right there with you, Bern!
Are YOU excited for Sanders to officially endorse Clinton?
