Demi Lovato Jokes That Disney Gave Her PTSD — And Talks Dissing Mariah Carey!

This could cause some tension...

Demi Lovato has always been very open about her past mental health struggles.

But in a new interview, the pop princess might’ve said something that could upset people who also struggle with one specific disorder…

While sitting down with Billboard Magazine for a joint interview alongside BFF Nick Jonas, the brunette beauty dished about her Disney days, joking that her time with the powerful corporation gave her Post Traumatic Stress Disorder:

“We joked around that it was Disney High, except we all were shooting shows and really overworking. I joke that I sometimes have PTSD after leaving the channel, because if my schedule starts to get too busy, I rebel and I get b*tchy.”

Considering the horror stories we’ve heard from other A-listers about their time on the Disney Channel, we wouldn’t be surprised if Miz Lovato actually was emotionally scarred from the experience.

However, it is a little disconcerting to see her joke so casually about the disorder, since she’s always pushed for mental health to be taken seriously.

Anyway, the gorgeous gal continued to say that the adults weren’t the ones pushing her so hard when she was younger, admitting:

“When you’re on set, you work like an adult. I always wanted to be the next Shirley Temple, to be the youngest person to ever win a Grammy and an Oscar. It didn’t turn out that way. I don’t regret it, but I probably won’t allow my kids to get into the industry unless it’s on their terms”

The soulful singer also opened up about SLAMMING Mariah Carey on social media, revealing that the iconic artist never responded to her:

“I’m sure she’s sitting on diamond records not giving a f*ck what I have to say. That’s fine. I don’t even give a f*ck what I have to say. That’s why I just say it.”
