Police Shoot Unarmed Black Therapist For Taking Care Of His Autistic Patient — When Asked Why, Officer Responds ‘I Don’t Know’

Let’s see how the people try to spin this one…

It’s no secret racism is alive and well in America — and we’re not even talking about the Republican National Convention‘s intern pic!

No, we’re unfortunately talking about YET ANOTHER instance of police shooting an unarmed black man for literally no reason… but this case out of Miami may finally effect some real change.

That’s because while Alton Sterling and Philando Castile‘s deaths were caught on camera, neither were able to share their sides of the story… but luckily, the latest victim of police brutality survived.

47-year-old Charles Kinsey works as a behavior therapist to autistic and other special needs young adults in North Miami, but when a 23-year-old patient wandered away from their group home on Monday, neither probably expected to get shot.

Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened when cops responded to an unrelated call of an armed man threatening suicide — the City of North Miami Police Department officers reportedly found the caretaker and his patient in the middle of the road, and noting our country’s recent history of gun violence, Charles immediately laid on the ground with his hands up just to be safe.

We guess that’s not even good enough to qualm some racist police officers’ trigger-happy tendencies, though, because that’s when Charles was shot in the leg, right next to the young man who was busy playing with a white toy car.

But that’s not even the worst part… when Charles asked the cop why he shot him, the officer allegedly responded, “I don’t know.”

According to the shooting victim’s attorney, Hilton Napoleon, the department “realized [there] was something inappropriate regarding the shooting,” and will be settling with the man… but we highly doubt he cares about the money.

Instead, he — and the rest of us, for that matter — probably wants to know why the shooter is still employed/not arrested for attempted murder/was even a cop in the first place?!

Still don’t think we have a racism problem in America??

Ch-ch-check out the disturbing video, if you can stomach it (below)!!!

Get well soon, Charles.
