They say revenge is sweet…

On Wednesday evening, Texas Senator Ted Cruz was booed off the Republican National Convention stage in Cleveland, OH when he REFUSED to endorse his party’s presidential nominee Donald Trump. Oh snap!

During his speech to the delegates at the convention, Ted clearly shaded the controversial businessman by only uttering Donald’s name ONCE. Ted also encouraged voters “to vote with [their] conscience”. Whoa.

The 45-year-old explained:

“What if this, right now, is our last time? Our last moment to do something for our families and our country? To those listening, please, don’t stay home in November. If you love our country, and love your children as much as I know you do, stand, and speak, and vote your conscience, vote for candidates up and down the ticket who you trust to defend our freedom and to be faithful to the Constitution.”

We never thought we’d say this, but well played shade Cruz. However, the delegates were less than impressed with Ted’s lack of endorsement as they began booing him near the end of his speech. LOLz!

Obviously, the former Celebrity Apprentice star needed to have the last word as he took to Twitter to confirm that he knew about the senator’s speech ahead of time. He posted:

*eye roll* While Cruz and several other Republicans initially stated they would support Trump back during the primary race, we can only imagine DT’s harsh words for Ted’s wife played a factor in his decision. Oof.
