Reporter Caught Playing Pokémon Go At State Department Briefing About ISIS! Watch!

Wow. In case you were wondering if Veep is real life…

US State Department spokesman John Kirby was engaged in a very serious briefing with the media on Thursday afternoon, discussing the Obama administration’s efforts to fight the terrorist group ISIS when a little bit of goofiness entered the equation.

As Kirby was mid-talk on his terrorism briefing, he glanced over to an as-yet unidentified journalist sitting in the room, and noticed the media member doing something unusual.

Kirby asked him a question that we can pretty reasonably assume has never been asked in the middle of a State Department briefing before in the history of the country (below):

“You’re playing the Pokemon thing right there, aren’t you?”
