On Saturday, things took a terrifying turn during a showing of Star Trek Beyond at a Kentucky movie theater. While watching the sci-fi sequel at the Cinemark location in Paducah, a man pulled out a GUN after a child had been kicking his seat.
In a statement from the Paducah police, the man had apparently had enough and stood up, swearing at the boy and asking if he was going to continue kicking.
That’s when the kid’s father got involved, and started to fight the man. But when it seemed the fight was going the father’s way, onlookers said the disgruntled moviegoer pulled out a gun, and said:
“What the (expletive) are you going to do now.”
Luckily, the man didn’t actually fire the weapon, and three people removed him from the theaters while the cops were called.
The Paducah police are pressing charges against the gun owner, who is no longer allowed on Cinemark property. The authorities are presenting their case to seek charges to the McCracken County Attorney’s office today.

We’re so glad no one was hurt.
