Never have we agreed more with someone who didn’t say a word!
Political commentator Angela Rye gave an eye-roll of epic proportions on Wednesday night during a CNN Tonight segment after the Democratic National Convention.
Rye was sitting on a panel to discuss Hillary Clinton‘s historic nomination, but couldn’t stop herself from rolling her eyes when conservative correspondent Kayleigh McEnany tried to remind everyone that Donald Trump has done “great things” just like Hillary.
After criticizing Clinton for her leadership in the State Department, McEnany was asked by host Don Lemon what she thought of Bill Clinton‘s DNC speech, in which he referenced Hillary’s record of “helping with school and adoptive parents.”
When McEnany shot back with “Donald Trump has done great things in his private time, too,” Rye could not contain her disgust — and let out one historic eye-roll:

After getting a mixed response on Twitter, Rye told The Cut that her eye-rolling and other facial expressions are performed because “I don’t have the poker face to pretend,” but she tries to hold back so she doesn’t come of as “an angry black woman.”
Though Rye says she considers Kayleigh “a friend” off air, she explained the conservative’s arbitrary topic changes got under her skin:
“For me, yesterday, it was such a historic moment. Regardless of whether you’re with Hill or you’re feeling the Bern, we had to appreciate the magnitude of that moment. To switch gears from shattering glass ceilings from Michelle Obama‘s dynamic speech to Cory Booker to Eric Holder the night before, to then talk about ISIS? Are we really doing this right now?”
We feel you, girl!
